Lucyd Help

Troubleshooting

Quick fixes for Bluetooth, charging, audio, and pairing issues.

Before requesting a warranty replacement, try the steps below — they resolve most pairing, charging, and audio issues.

Bluetooth or charging issue — full reset

This is our top troubleshoot for any “won’t pair” or “won’t charge” issue.

  1. Place the glasses on the charging cable / dock for at least 30 minutes — even if the LED is already on.
  2. On your phone: go to Bluetooth Settings → Forget the Lucyd device.
  3. Power off the glasses by holding both temples simultaneously for 5–10 seconds.
  4. Wait 60 seconds.
  5. Power them back on, then re-pair from your phone’s Bluetooth menu.

If the issue persists after these steps, send us a short video showing what happens when you try to use them — we’ll move forward with a warranty assessment.

Audio is too low

This usually isn’t a defect — phones have a headphone-safety setting that limits volume.

  1. On your phone, search for “headphone safety” in Settings.
  2. Make sure it’s turned off.
  3. Reconnect to your Lucyd glasses.

If volume is still very low after disabling headphone safety, contact us — there may be an audio defect.

Lenses not transitioning (Lucyd Shift / Blueshift)

Photochromic lenses need a few hours in direct sunlight to fully activate the first time. Wear them outdoors for a few days. Some notes:

  • Photochromic lenses don’t get as dark as polarized sunglass lenses — there’s a noticeable tint but not a heavy darkening.
  • Behind a car windshield, photochromics often don’t darken as much because most modern windshields block UV.
  • Cold weather makes them tint more aggressively; warm weather, less.

If after a few days of outdoor wear there’s still no noticeable tint at all, send a photo of the glasses outdoors and contact us — we’ll verify the right lens was installed.

App pairing / walkie-talkie not working

If you’re having trouble with a specific Lucyd app feature, please be ready to tell us:

  1. Device & OS: Android or iOS? Which version (e.g., iOS 17.2, Android 13)?
  2. App version: check the App Store / Google Play.
  3. What’s happening: Describe the issue. Is it every time or sometimes? Any error messages?
  4. Device model: iPhone 13? Samsung Galaxy S22?
  5. Network: Wi-Fi or mobile data?

Contact us with as much of this info as you can.

Charging dock LED stays on but glasses don’t power on

Try the reset above (30-min charge + power cycle). If still no luck, contact us — this is typically a warranty case.
