Armor accessories & gear compatibility
Charging, lenses, swap kits, and which hard hats / ear protection work well with Lucyd Armor.
Charging
Lucyd Armor charges with a magnetic charging cable that connects to one temple. Every Armor unit ships with the cable and a zipper case for storage. Armor is not compatible with the Lucyd magnetic dock (the dock works only with Lucyd Lyte’s magnetic temple contacts).
Plug the cable into any standard USB wall adapter. One around 5V / 2A charges fastest.
Reebok Sport and AERO also charge with their own magnetic charging cable. For their charging steps, see Using Reebok Sport glasses or Using AERO.
Lenses
Armor lenses can be swapped — clear, sun, polarized, photochromic (Lucyd Shift). Custom prescription lenses for Armor cost $25 more than the standard Lyte custom lenses because of the high-curvature safety frame.
- Lucyd Shift (photochromic) — clear indoors, darkens outdoors. Included as standard.
- Custom Rx — single vision, progressive, bifocal, reader. Add at checkout.

Gear compatibility {#gear-compatibility}
Lucyd Armor is designed to work with the safety gear you already wear at work. We’ve tested with the following hard hats and ear protection.
Note: impact ratings differ by variant. Armor base and Armor Slim are ANSI Z87+ high impact; Armor Vantage is basic Z87 only. All three are CSA Z94.3:20 Class 1/1A. Ratings apply to plano lenses; Rx (Z87-2+) qualification is still in progress. See Armor safety ratings.
