Using AERO: controls, pairing and charging

Double-tap for your phone's assistant, one device at a time, a 1.5 to 2 hour charge, and fixes for common issues.

This page covers Lucyd AERO only. For frames, fit and lenses, see Lucyd AERO.

Controls

Double-tap the right temple to open your phone’s assistant. AERO has no wake word, so the double-tap is how you start it.

For other controls, see the quick-start guide in the box.

Calls

Call audio plays through AERO’s speakers, and two microphones pick up your voice.

Pairing

AERO connects to one device at a time.

  1. Turn AERO on and put it in pairing mode as shown in the quick-start guide in the box.
  2. On your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and select your AERO glasses from the list.

Switching to another phone or device: disconnect AERO from the first device (or turn that device’s Bluetooth off), then connect from the second device.

Bluetooth profiles: A2DP for music, HFP and HSP for calls, and AVRCP for playback control.

Charging

  • Use the magnetic charging cable and adapter that come in the box.
  • Make sure the magnetic connector sits fully in place on the glasses.
  • A full charge takes 1.5 to 2 hours.

Battery

  • Up to 4.5 hours of music at maximum volume.
  • We don’t publish a standby figure for AERO.

Troubleshooting

AERO won’t pair or keeps dropping

  1. On your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth, select AERO and choose Forget this device.
  2. Turn your phone’s Bluetooth off, wait 10 seconds, and turn it back on.
  3. Make sure AERO isn’t connected to another device. It connects to one device at a time.
  4. Pair again using the steps above.

AERO won’t charge

  1. Check that the magnetic connector is seated fully and the contacts are clean and dry.
  2. Try a different power source.

Audio is too low

Your phone may limit headphone volume. Search your phone’s Settings for “headphone safety”, turn it off, and reconnect AERO.

Still not working?

Contact us with your order number and a short video of what happens. We’ll take it from there.
